-FARMING ACTIVITIES - KEEP A GOOD LOOKOUT FOR TRACTORS, IMPLEMENTS AND FARM WORKERS.
- REGISTERED AIRFIELD - R388 - Frequency 133.20 (Call 3 miles out).
- RWY Direction - 03/21 Length - 1000m GRASS between windsocks. Elevation - 5400ft
- Use of the airfield is entirely at the user’s own risk. Indemnity required.
- Download and read the LOCAL RULES posted above.
- To avoid infringing on the OR TAMBO International airspace, all circuits are to be conducted to the East of the airfield. When landing or taking off on RWY 03 then righthand circuits are to be used. When landing or taking off on RWY 21 then lefthand circuits are to be used.
- Avoid overflying the Petit and Marister residential areas to the South of the airfield.
- Avoid using the runway directly after rain. - No night flying allowed.
- Pilots to keep a lookout for grass cutting and farming operations, especially during summer months. If a tractor is operating on the runway, do a low pass to alert the driver, and then proceed as normal with the joining and landing procedures.
- CAUTION : Power line approximately 300m from the threshold of RWY 21.
- The airfield is fenced and access controlled. The main gate access is only manned during normal weekday business hours from 08:00 to 17:00 local time. Only Petit tenants can access the airfield after hours and on weekends. After-hour access needs to be arranged with the Petit management via email or by sending a WhatsApp message to +27 72 844 3577 requesting gate access PRIOR to arrival. An indemnity form needs to be completed before access will be granted.
